Betsy Ross, Widow of John Ross, Nephew of Declaration of Independence Signer George Ross, Descendants of the 4th Earl of Ross, Bestowing the 1st American Flag upon the Founding Fathers.


Rumors and Myths swirl the Internet that Betsy Ross did not make the Flag, but Betsy's husband was known to have a correspondence with some of the Founding Fathers, and his uncle George Ross was a Founding Father by the Last Signature on the Declaration of Independence.  

John and his Uncle George Ross were descendants of the 4th Earl of Ross. The Earls of Ross were the Hereditary Rulers of the Earldom of Ross, present day Ross (& the unspeakable word) County, in the Region of Ross Scotland.

The Earls of Ross & many Rosses were Ancient Rivals to their Cousins the Crown, and there was no more fitting sign to the Crown of who they Fought again, their Cousins, the Rosses!
